Browser — Live Network Telemetry

Visualise your bandwidth.

Speed Freak is a lightweight, client-side network monitor that maps your upload and download transfer rates in real time. Plot historical throughput over 10 to 60 minutes, log geolocation data, and observe connection stability directly inside your browser.

Zero install, zero background daemons · pure client-side metrics
Continuous Telemetry

Spot drops before they drop you.

Spot speed dips, intermittent signal throttling, and packet bottlenecks as they happen. Speed Freak continuously polls connection throughput to draw an ongoing line graph of upload and download activity over rolling 10-minute intervals up to an hour.

Features

Precision monitoring tools.

History Graph

Rolling Dual-Channel Timelines

Independent visual tracks for upstream and downstream data rates allow you to evaluate asymmetry and monitor connection saturation during heavy streaming or file transfers.

Environment

Geolocation & Connection Profiling

Instantly check your device's reported coordinates alongside network type data to document Wi-Fi performance across different workspaces, venues, and physical locations.

Execution

Lightweight In-Browser Architecture

Runs purely inside your web browser without requiring binary drivers, intrusive background agents, or persistent disk writes.

Network Security

Working in public? Turn on your VPN.

Public Wi-Fi networks in coffee shops, transport hubs, and co-working spaces are inherently open environments. Because traffic over unencrypted local networks is broadcast across the airwaves, malicious actors on the same router can perform packet sniffing, set up rogue access points ("evil twin" attacks), or inspect DNS queries.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) creates an encrypted point-to-point tunnel between your device and a secure remote server. When active, every byte of your upload and download stream—passwords, session tokens, personal messages, and server endpoints—is encrypted before it ever leaves your machine.

Even if someone is actively intercepting packets on the cafe's public router, they see only unintelligible encrypted ciphertext. Pairing live network monitoring with an active VPN ensures fast performance without compromising your digital perimeter.
