DP-Evolution is a full synth and drum machine that runs entirely in your browser. Three synth engines, a nine-track step sequencer, per-drum effects, an independently clocked arpeggiator, and live MIDI — no install, no account, nothing to download.
Play live over the running sequencer from the 37-key on-screen keyboard or any connected USB MIDI keyboard — notes sound instantly whether the pattern is playing or not. Pitch bend runs through a ribbon controller: slide to bend, and it holds exactly where you leave it rather than snapping back to centre.

Kick, snare, hat, tom, rim, shaker, clap, crash, plus a melodic synth track. Eight or sixteen steps, and every voice has its own mute plus reverb, delay, and shape sends.
The ninth row is melodic, with a note dropdown on every step. It runs its own engine and its own effects sends, separate from the live keyboard — so a saturated bassline can sit under a clean lead without either touching the other.
Up, Down, Up/Down, and Random patterns with note latching, running on its own transport — it plays whether or not the drums are rolling.
Bounce the current drum pattern offline and download it, ready to drag into a DAW.
Route the whole instrument into Logic, Ableton or anything else with a virtual audio driver such as BlackHole, and record it like any other source.

A RATE knob sets how fast the arpeggiator steps through held notes, triplets included. It is clocked separately from the drum sequencer, so the arp can skitter at 1/32 over a straight 1/8 groove — or stretch out to 1/2 for slow held stabs over the identical beat. Sweep it live and the change lands on the next note without the pattern restarting.

DP-Evolution didn't start as a synth and drum machine — it started as a single oscillator with three waveforms and a basic filter. A first version, built just to answer one question: could a working synth actually be built from scratch in a browser?
Every version after that added one idea and kept going. Polyphony and an arpeggiator turned one voice into four. A step sequencer and a full keyboard turned an instrument you played note by note into one that could run on its own. Eventually the accumulated fixes on top of fixes made it worth stripping the whole thing back and rebuilding it properly from a clean, understood base — then building forward again, version by version.
By the time it had a full nine-track drum kit, a melodic bass row with its own engine and effects, per-drum sends, and an arpeggiator running on a clock of its own, it had earned its own name rather than just another version number — DP-Evolution. Hence the name: it's not one design, it's everything that survived several rounds of being rebuilt and improved.
DP-Evolution is designed for laptop and desktop use only. It's a full synthesiser and drum machine that needs a keyboard, a pointer and room to work — ideally with MIDI — so it isn't available on phones or tablets.
